Farmer Steaks Future on Beer-Fed Beef

Hillstown Farm and the Get ‘er Brewed team  have made wagyu beef an affordable luxury in Northern Ireland.

The demand for beer-fed beef has been unprecedented and as a result they have upgraded the production of the stout and have taken the very exciting step of launching a micro-brewery. The Hillstown Brewery Team are very excited to be launching with Raceview Mill and will have locally made craft beer at the festival. The Craft Beers from Hillstown Brewery are sure to be innovative and exciting: each and every batch will have a story.

The lucky cattle at Hillstown Farm have the pleasure of several pints a day of Stout: the stout is made from the finest grains and hops available. No cost has been spared on the quality of the ingredients. Fresh whole grains are milled and mashed to produce a beer wort which is then boiled with the freshest hops available on the brewing market. The fermentation process produces a strong aromatic stout which has notes of burnt toast, chocolate, coffee and liquorice. The impact this has on the flavour of the meat is outstanding!

This isn't about getting the cattle drunk; it helps to relax the beast.

The cattle are grass-fed on the farm and receive the very best of care, which produces succulent, marbled beef renowned for its superior eating qualities, considered to be a delicacy with a unique texture and depth of flavour. The beef is then dry aged for at least 28 days, it is difficult to keep up with the demand for this superb meat.

The Hillstown Micro-Brewery is something that Get ‘er Brewed and Hillstown Farm Shop have become very passionate about. They really are genuinely interested in hand crafting a very special set of beers. They have designed some truly exciting recipes some of which will be enjoyed at the media launch of the Fest at Raceview Mill.
