The Fest at Raceview Mill: post fest big thank you all.

The Fest at Raceview Mill would like to thank all those who supported the new festival in Broughshane. The Fest set out to highlight the Raceview Mill Project which will very soon become a major hub for local artisans, music and enterprise.

We wish to thank all the artisans, musicians, and food producers who provided the aesthetics, the ambience, the refreshment and the sustenance. We are very grateful for the support, encouragement and appreciation shown by the local community and to all those who came on board the event management team to physically assist the Fest. And of course we must thank all those who attended the Fest: from across Northern Ireland as well as visitors from Scotland, England and further afield.

Special mentions need to go to Hillstown Farm and Brewery, Lisnamururican Young Farmers Club, The PSNI, Ballymena Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Riley Vintage Car Club, Austin Register and to Vera McCullough for organising the children's events in conjunction with Children In Need.  But, if anyone needs singled out it would have to be Ballymena Borough Council: the mayor, the councillors and the administration who supported us in so many different ways.

The local media have been very supportive indeed: the Ballymena Guardian and Ballymena Times have been particularly generous with the extensive coverage they have given to Raceview Mill.

This has been the first major event, attracting visitors from across Northern Ireland and tourists from many different countries: heralding the fact that Broughshane will soon be the place to be. More exciting developments are soon to be announced. Watch this space.
